As with project management, change management is part of almost every
project at Bay Consulting Group. We are firm believers in using
communication, client and stakeholder engagement, project management,
training and development, and other transition support tools, as key
components in everything we do. Given this commitment to ensuring
change happens and lasts, we have been asked to undertake change
management projects such as:

Selected as the "Change Management" consultants for the restructuring
of the Ontario Workers Compensation Board (WCB) into the Workplace
Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) as a result of Bill 99. The project
involved the management of a major change in the mandate of an Ontario
government organization with 4400 employees from compensation to
prevention. BCG guided the Senior Management Committee in the design of
the organization to achieve the new mandate. BCG conceived, designed
and wrote the corporate strategic plan and related action plans. We
achieved consensus, buy-in and feedback from head office management and
field staff through a series of "Connection Forums" which were
facilitated by a BCG staff member. We introduced test centres to
establish working relationships before new structures were rolled out
to field offices and led the cultural change to customer service. And,
we substantially compressed the time frame to make changes and get on
with the new business.
